Růžová - Bohemian Switzerland

Růžová (German: Rosendorf) is a village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 17.86 square kilometres (6.90 sq mi), and has a population of 378 (as at 2 October 2006). Růžová lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) north-east of Děčín, 28 km (17 mi) north-east of Ústí nad Labem, and 85 km (53 mi) north of Prague.

The dominating feature of the village is the Church of St. Peter and Paul from 1711 that was reconsecrated by Litoměřický archbishop in 2000. Remarkable is also the windmill from 1878 standing on the hill Petřín in the south of the village. Its today´s owners rebuilt it, equipped it with stylish furniture and offer a possilibity of accommodation.
In the south of the village indians build their camp every summer. The group West Country build here the indian settlement from the time of indian wars, the stylish interiors included. The visitors get to know the family life of several indian tribes, you can look at their weapons, clothes, musical instruments, toys and animals and listen to the indian music.
The part of Růžová is also the settlement Kamenická stráň - a rural listed zone with well preserved houses of original folk architecture.
